Welcome to our Farm. A couple of years ago our family fulfilled a dream and purchased a five and a half acre homestead. The first fall we purchased our first two Saanen does, Gertrude and Josie, who both kidded the following spring. Our eldest daughter Meredith was put in charge of our small goat dairy. She began to study the benefits of goat milk, both to drink and in beauty products. Before long, our basement became a soap cave. We currently have a mixture of goat breeds consisting of Saanens, Nigerian Dwarfs and a grade Nubian.
Two of our sons have now branched off to their own businesses:
Ethan will be selling eggs again soon.
Nathan has established his own hive this year and will be ready to harvest in the fall.
We also raise grass fed beef for family consumption and occasionally have one for private sale.
